Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Game. If you are under 16, you may only play with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Game you confirm you meet this requirement.

2. Your account

• You can register with an email and password, or sign in with Google.
• You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials confidential.
• You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
• One account per player. Creating multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage (for example on leaderboards or the monthly Premium ranking) is not allowed.
• Tell us at contact@maliks.net if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Rules of conduct

When using the Game, you agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or abuse other players.
• Use names, tags, slogans, or room names that are offensive, hateful, obscene, or that impersonate others.
• Disrupt the Game, its servers, or other players' experience.
• Use the Game for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any applicable law.
• Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems that are not yours.

4. Fair play & anti-cheat

MALIK is a server-authoritative game: the server decides movement, hits, health, and scoring. To keep the Game fair, you must not:

• Use cheats, hacks, aimbots, modified clients, or any software that gives an unfair advantage.
• Use bots or automation to play, farm score, or manipulate leaderboards.
• Exploit bugs or glitches instead of reporting them to us.
• Interfere with, probe, or tamper with the Game's network traffic or server logic.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Game, except where this is permitted by law that cannot be excluded by agreement.

We may remove scores, reset progress, or suspend accounts that break these rules.

5. MALIK Premium

The Game is free to play. MALIK Premium is an optional paid subscription that removes ads, gives a full-width game canvas, a wider labyrinth view, and a Premium badge.

• Billing. Premium is a recurring monthly subscription (currently $3.99 per month), billed through our payment provider Stripe. Prices may change; we will give notice of any change before it applies to you.
• Renewal. Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel.
• Cancellation. You can cancel at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal (the "Manage Subscription" button in-game). Your Premium benefits continue until the end of the paid period; you are not charged again after cancelling.
• Refunds & withdrawal. Except where required by applicable consumer law, payments are non-refundable. If you are an EU consumer, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services. By subscribing and using Premium immediately, you request that the service begin at once and acknowledge that your right of withdrawal is lost once the service has been fully performed for the paid period. Your statutory rights are not affected.
• Earned Premium. We may also grant Premium for free to the top players on the monthly leaderboard. Earned Premium is a reward with no cash value, granted at our discretion, and is separate from a paid subscription.
• Payment data. We never receive or store your full card details — see the Privacy Policy.

6. Virtual items & progress

Your in-game progress, score, upgrades, saved labyrinths, and any Premium status are part of a personal, non-transferable licence to use the Game. They have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be sold or transferred to another person. We may adjust, reset, or remove in-game features as the Game evolves.

7. Your content

You are responsible for the content you create in the Game, such as your display name, player tag, slogan, and room names. By submitting this content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display it as part of operating the Game (for example on leaderboards and in room listings). We may remove content that breaks these Terms.

8. Intellectual property

The Game, including its code, artwork, design, name, and logo, is owned by MALIK and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to play the Game for your own entertainment. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from the Game except as allowed by these Terms or by law.

9. Availability & Early Access

MALIK is in active Early Access. Features may be added, changed, or removed, and the Game may contain bugs. We aim to keep the Game available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we may perform maintenance or downtime. We may modify or discontinue the Game, in whole or in part, at any time.

10. Suspension & termination

• You may stop playing and request deletion of your account at any time by contacting contact@maliks.net.
• We may suspend or terminate your account if you break these Terms, cheat, abuse other players, or use the Game unlawfully.
• If your account is terminated for a serious breach, you may lose access to your progress and any Premium benefits without refund, except where the law requires otherwise.

11. Disclaimers

The Game is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind except those that cannot be excluded by law. We do not warrant that the Game will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors. Nothing in these Terms limits your mandatory statutory rights as a consumer.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MALIK is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or progress, arising from your use of the Game. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, it is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia and applicable European Union law. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you also benefit from the mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts. EU consumers can also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the Game. Your continued use of MALIK after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
